In our presentation we shall put the stress on the preparation of both suitcases and school bags that primary school teacher trainees need to pack in order to optimise the experience of professional teacher placement abroad. The notion of professional teaching context will be particularly emphasised. The elaboration and implementation of scenarios taking into account multiple teaching approaches according to various cultural environments will be developed.

The guidelines that will be provided during this talk emerge from past teacher training experiences in the domain of Modern Foreign Languages and Language Across the Curriculum teaching and learning. They may be put into practice to varying degrees and interpreted locally. 

We will also focus on the key issue of the interrelationship between language(s), culture(s) and other school subjects in the classroom abroad.
